There are three levels of certification:

ITIL Foundation Certification

The Foundation Certificate enables people to understand the terminology used within ITIL. It focuses upon foundation knowledge with regard to the ITIL Service Support and Service Delivery sets as well as covering generic ITIL philosophy and its background.

ITIL Intermediate Certification

This is a qualification on the specific disciplines within the ITIL Service Support or Service Delivery set, including customer and IT organization communication.

ITIL Expert Certification

Certificates

You will earn ITIL® Expert Certification post clearing the ITIL® Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) Examination. The Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) module must then be taken and passed to achieve a total of 22 credits, which is the minimum required for the ITIL Expert certificate.
